Experts in the application of anticorrosive treatments by metallization
We carry out anti-corrosion treatments by Metallization with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, with mobile equipment for on-site work, to recover parts. There is also the possibility of automatic metallization for larger surfaces.
Metallization, also known as flame thermal spraying, is a thermal spray technique in which an oxy-fuel flame melts the feedstock material (in the form of powder or wire). A propellant gas then projects the molten particles onto the substrate. This process is commonly used for corrosion protection (with materials like zinc and aluminum alloys) and wear resistance. The term originates from the English "flame spray", making it the oldest thermal spray technology, invented by Max Ulrich Schoop in 1942. Thermal spraying is a surface treatment technique used in component manufacturing. It consists of projecting tiny molten, semi-molten, hot, or even cold particles ("cold spray") onto a surface. These particles accumulate and bond, forming a protective layer. The primary goal is to enhance the surface properties of parts exposed to extreme conditions of friction, wear, heat, and mechanical stress. Thermal spraying is widely used across multiple industries, including:Automotive: Engine valves, Aerospace: Turbine engines, Gas Turbines: Blades and components, Printing Industry: Rollers and cylinders, Medical Field: Implants, Marine & Petrochemical: Coatings for metal surfaces exposed to harsh environmen In some Latin American countries, thermal spraying is referred to as "Termo-Rociado", a literal translation of "thermal spray" in English.
What our customers ask us
Is it possible to apply multiple coats in a single day?
It depends on the type of paint and atmospheric conditions. It is essential to follow the supplier's guidelines specified in the technical data sheet.
Do you perform adhesion tests?
Adhesion tests are not conducted systematically. They are performed upon the client's request, who must specify the acceptable values and provide test samples for execution. Process certificates are issued upon request.
Can you blast large pieces?
We have a blasting booth measuring 12x6x6 meters.
What is the maximum weight you can manage?
We have two overhead cranes, with capacities of 10 and 16 tons, respectively, which together can support pieces weighing over 25 tons.
Which is better, galvanizing or metallizing?
Metallizing. When applied to new pieces, metallizing improves the friction coefficient, increases surface hardness, enhances corrosion resistance, and repairs manufacturing defects.
